I work in the recruitment industry and unfortunately with a psychopath. I have read so much on workplace bullying and he ticks all the boxes of a workplace psychopath. To others he appears charming, confident, funny and good at his job. In reality he is incompetent, lazy and gets everyone to do his work for him. The only time he is happy is when he is gossiping or running others down. I guess at least while he is doing this he forgets about his own pathetic life for a while. His little harem of girls along with a weak gutted boss who is too scared to stand up to him cover for him time and time again. He spreads nasty rumours, sabotages work and isolates me. Four staff members have left due to this asshole.Of course they were the ones with a problem. I have had trouble because I stood up to his poor behaviour.
Things got so bad that HR were brought in, other workmates covered for him and he lied his way out of trouble. Apparently I’m the one who needs counselling after all.
Revenge is often on my mind, but I don’t want to lower myself to his pathetic standards. I am considering a career change, things will never improve while management bury their hands in the sand. The universe will right the wrongs. That’s what I’m hoping for anyway.
Just remember: Those that can do, those that can’t bully.
