SO I applied for a new position, that has just been created and that I would be perfect for. Do I get the job? No, the hiring manager’s friend gets it! Not only that, but the way I find out I didn’t get the job is this: She calls me into her office and, all in one breath, this woman says “We’ve decided to offer the postition to _____ but you really interviewed well and had a lot of good ideas, can you show them to ______?” I mean what the fuck? I developed a program and had a bunch of other great ideas and I am suppposed to turn all of that over to the person they gave the job to? Do you think , if I were an external candidate, that they would say “sorry, you didn’t get the job, but do you think you can come back and show the person who DID get the job all your ideas you told us about in the interview?” WHAT THE HELL?!?!?! So now I am looking for another job, this time outside the company and I’m taking MY ideas and MY program with ME!
