My boss is supposed to start work at 6:30 a.m. I used to be scheduled in at 7:30 a.m. but the duties for the early morning didn’t have me physically in the office until about 8 a.m.
Recently I was changed to 7 a.m. and I’m in by 7:20 a.m. because I hurry. Why? So I’m in my seat before my stupid boss. She shows up at 7:30 a.m. (something we didn’t know before my early start) and goes home early every day.
And the other boss, one step lower than her, kisses her butt like a champ. He said he would support (to a point) a schedule change my coworker came up with, but wanted a meeting first. So she emails everyone to request a meeting.
Big lazy late boss goes to bigger boss and email her back asking when she’s leaving (she’s been pursuing grad school options). This whole time, butt kissing boss says NOTHING. Doesn’t even admit it was HIS idea. When I bring it up, he comes up with a lame reason why it’s not his idea at all. Before I could say it, he insisted he did not need to grow a pair.
Whatever. I really hate my job. I’m out of here and looking for PT work now so I can concentrate on my own grad school plans and leave both of these losers in the past. At least I still have my dignity, even if I’m not climbing the ladder at this has-been place.
