Ugh! Being a barista totally sucks! First, customers are so effin’ annoying. They order crazy complicated drinks like they’re mixing potions. Bitchy witches at a cauldron.
Also, it’s a Starbucks not a library! Everyone spreads their shit all over the tables like it’s their living room table at tax time. And worst of all, they get huffy when it gets busy and loud.
My boss sucks too. He never, ever steps up to protect us from abusive customers. He just avoids confrontation by bending over and giving these rude people whatever they want. And he threatens to fire anyone that stands up for themselves. A customer can throw their hot drink in your face and you’ll be the one that gets fired if you say anything back.
