I’ve been out of work now for a good 4 months but on the last job that ended I just have to say what a total ass my boss is/was. Everything started out great when I was first hired in fact the boss thought I was the greatest thing that ever happened and always blew wind up my ass about how he was going to promote me (he had big plans for me) apparently he tells everyone this. How I know is that I got my best friend hired a month after I started and we would discuss with each other every conversation we had privately with the boss. I was supposed to eventually be made supervisor but the boss already had an incompetant self centered whining bitchy immature little baby of a supervisor for 20 years and would never replace her because he felt bad for her. He never felt bad when first he fired my friend for no good reason then wouldn’t let him collect unemployment. He also didn’t feel bad when he fired me right before my birthday becuase ” He paid me much more than anyone else in the place”. He was always secretive of what he pays everyone that’s because he lies to everyone when their hired and tells them that’s all he can afford but in actuality I was paid $15,000 a year more than a co-worker who was hired on the same day as me. He would fold all the paychecks (too cheap to put them in sealed envelopes) and hand them out personally to each employee in a very mysterious fashion. I was told never to discuss anything with anyone. Now everybody including Employers know the minute you tell a worker not to discuss anything it’s gonna get out one way or another. I kept my part but he never kept his I was let go without any promotion. But was told I would get a good reference and if the economy changed he would hire me back. Well there was no longer any need for me to keep any secrets and when former co-workers spoke with me I told them what I used to make especially cause they were networking with me to see if they knew anyone who was hiring. It leaked out to the boss and when I called months later to see if I could get my job back with a cut in pay he let me know he wasn’t happy with me. What a stupid ass I just hung up on him. This is a guy that if you take a tiny bite of an egg sandwich at your desk and then put it away for later he’ll scream at you like your a child in front of the whole office. He’s cheap , miserly, vindictive , cranky, old , and a waste of my time and energy and even though I’m having a tough time getting back to work right now I’m more than blessed to now see his wrinkled old ass every day whining and lying to me.
