Dishwashing 2

Dishwashing 2

I can completely empathize with the other dishwashing rant that is already on this page. I work 7 hours, which doesn’t seem like much, but I’m 16 and having someone else in charge of when you can leave is really awful. I envy everyone who posts here who gets to sit down AT ALL during their job because I get yelled at any time I sit down outside or on the ice bucket in the kitchen, which is also about 95 degrees farenheit regardless of how much air is on.

Now apart from the environment, the job isn’t itself terribly hard. Until the end. Closing. I work until close which on weekdays is 10, weekends 10:30. Seems decent, doesn’t it? Cherish the thought. I have never once gotten off at closing time, or even a half hour later. I try to empty the sinks, and apparently I’m the only person in the whole god damn kitchen who likes to leave the god forsaken place! Every time I think I’m done I have to wash another tub full of greasy gravy or potatoes or some other crap that’s extremely difficult to get off without scrubbing the life out of myself, thus getting the sink dirty and rendering my whole prior job completely, and utterly, pointless. Needless to say, I plan on quitting soon, and hopefully I can do it gracefully when Doug feels like I didn’t do a good enough second mopping job and feels I should stay until 3am.
